Pretty Things 'Parachute'.
  Original UK Harvest label stereo 1st press LP.
The fifth LP by the Pretty Things and the follow up to SF Sorrow, that largely went un-noticed in 1970, 'Parachute' is essentially a sustained and poetic discourse expressing disillusionment with the 60's dream, just listen to 'Sickle Clowns'! With the non-EMI Harvest labels with the 'Gramophone Co' rim text and earliest A-2 B-2 matrices of the very first presses!
  The front laminated gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and laminate storage rubbing/creasing on the outer cover. The spine is intact, but slightly crushed and fully ledgable, the Harvest company inner is intact, but has some creasing and writing and is in VG+ condition.
  The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of small needle marks visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings. Overall the record still retains its original sheen and looks great!!   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and occasionally in some of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud & punchy listen!!   The matrix nos. are; SHVL-774, A-2 mother stamper 1-G, B-2 mother stamper 2-GO. This is one of early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!!
  All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!!    All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!   UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2 KG!,

Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to weight restrictions.
