Description
This a early pressing of 'Parachute' by The Pretty Things on harverst.
This is a stereo pressing. This LP was originally released in 1970 on the UK EMI Harvest label (catalogue no. SHVL 774). This pressing features the original yellow and green labels with black lettering. There is no EMI boxed logo on the labels which denotes that this is an early pressing.
OUTER SLEEVE -
The gatefold sleeve which is laminated on the front and back is in overall very good condition. There is some minor wear and creasing on the front. The top and bottom edges show some wear and just some minor creasing. There is no wording along the spine which is in fine condition. There is some minor 'feathering' on the mouth of the sleeve and the front edge but this doesn't detract from the overall quality of the sleeve. It states on the inner sleeve EMI THE GREATEST RECORDING ORGANISATION IN THE WORLD - EMI RECORDS (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) HAYES, MIDDLESEX, ENGLAND - Made and printed in Great Britain'. I have graded the sleeve as Very Good. I have taken some close up pictures so you can what I mean and judge for yourself.
INNER SLEEVE - This is an EMI Harvest company sleeve which features the covers of other Harvest artist LP's on both sides, printed in black and white. With original polythene lining. Good condition just a few creases that could be removed to make it very good / excellent.
RECORD - The record itself looks very clean with some superficial minor marks which do not affect the quality of the recording. There is some very minor surface noise and I heard a single click. The yellow and green labels with black wording are in lovely condition with some very minor spindle marks. There is no damage to the labels on either side. These labels have no EMI boxed logo on either side. The matrix numbers (SHVL.774A and SHVL.774B) are printed on either label below the catalogue numbers. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - SHVL 774 A-2 (stampers 1 G) - side two - SHVL 774 B-2 (stampers 1 G). I have graded the record as Excellent. Again there are some close ups of the labels.
All my items are 100% guaranteed and can be returned for a full refund if the buyer is not satisfied with the product.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
