Description
Prestige Bluesville 1049, “Say No to the Devil”, with Rev. Gary Davis, vocals and guitar; from 1962. Blue trident-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The matte jacket is about VG++ with a bit of wear (mostly color loss) on the bottom seam, one slightly bumped corner, and slight ringwear (see scan). There are no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “Say No to the Devil”, “Time Is Drawing Near”, “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand”, “Bad Company Brought Me Here”, “I Decided to Go Down”, “Lord, I Looked Down the Road”, “Little Bitty Baby”, “No One Can Do Me Like Jesus”, “Lost Boy in the Wilderness”, and “Trying to Get to Heaven in Due Time”. This is the remainder of a set of Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this fall on eBay. Many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
