Description
Poet And The One Man Band - s/t debut album, released in 1969
This is the first UK issue, on Verve Records (SVLP 6012, Stereo).
This record was released again in 1970 on Paramount, but this UK issue on Verve is MUCH rarer and sold next to nothing when it was initially released.
The band were made up of:
Tony Colton (vocals), Ray Smith (guitar), Jerry Donahue (guitar), Pat Donaldson (bass), Mike O'Neill (keyboards), Pete Gavin (drums), Albert Lee (guitar), Nicky Hopkins (piano)
After the lack of success of this LP the band recored some additional material that was shelved, and morphed into Heads, Hands & Feet. See For Miles released the unreleased sessions under the Heads, Hands & Feet name a few years back (Home for Home - The Missing Album). Donaldson, Donahue & Lee then left and went on to form Fotheringay.

- Nice clean vinyl, looks hardly played. There a couple of very light, hardly noticable paper scuffs, but apart from that the vinyl looks very nice.
- No spindle wear
- A-1/B-1 stamper, denoting first press
Sleeve - VG+
- Some very light storage wear.
- No tears, cuts, writing and all seams are intact.
- Flipback sleeve
- Some very minor 'creasing' on spine (see picture)
Nice example of this rare, long OOP and very hard to find brit-psych LP.
