From the back cover text:
The Pleasant View Quartet takes great pride in this album and hopes that it will remind you daily of the goodness of our Savior.
The quartet formed about four years ago from the Pleasant View Baptist Church choir, Kingsport, Tennessee. The Lord has richly blessed us during these four years, and we thank Him for each time we have stood before a congregation to witness for Him. Most of all, we thank Him for each soul we have seen saved or rededicated.
This is the first record for the quartet. We have selected songs that have a deep spiritual meaning to each of us. Through this recording, we hope you will find encouragement in your Christian life. If you do not know the Lord as your personal Savior, our prayer is that you will surrender your life to Him.
The group consists of James (Jim) Helton, singing lead; Phyllis Goins, alto; Billy C. Duncan, bass; and Larry Stapleton, singing tenor and accompanying on the guitar. The pianist is Mrs. Jim (Shelby) Helton, whose father, Rev. Ralph Cook, is lifetime pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
This album is dedicated to Reverend Cook and the members of Pleasant View Baptist Church, who have given us inspiration and encouragement in this endeavor.
