"Ca Plane Pour Moi"

(This Life's For Me)

Both Sides Identical

This classic vinyl pressing is from my personal collection. I was a New York City nightclub DJ from 1972 through 1988, and I am auctioning off most of my classic record collection for others to enjoy.

Since I was at the beginning of the emergence of the disco era,  these records have lots of history to them.  This record was never in a record store being manhandled by hundreds, if not thousands of careless people.  The only other caring fingerprints on this record could have been from other professional DJ / artists of my time such as:  the legendary Walter Gibbons (DJ remixer) Jim Burgess (DJ / Producer / Remixer) Ray F. Caviano ( RFC Records / Producer) Eddie Rivera (International Disco Record Center) Jenny Costa (WKTU guest DJ), David Mancuso (The Loft at 99 Prince St. / Record Pool) or David Morales (For The Record / Def Jam / Producer / Songwriter / Remixer).   If this record could talk!

All of my auctioned records  can be programmed in clubs today, to the likeness of quality they had "back in the day"  otherwise they will not be listed.

VINYL CONDITION    Goldmine Standards:  Very Good minus

Several light paper scuffs, and some significantly noticable light scratches. Background noise is evident in low crackeling, and a few audible pops.

Like I stated above.... I worked as a DJ from 1972 to 1988, but for the last 18 years....I made occasional guest appearances for charity events.  While programming this cut, I never noticed the background noise this record has, because in a club (or any wild party atmosphere) there is always excitement in the air, and in that wild environment, the flaws are drowned-out.  When I put on my headphones and attentively listened to this classic last week for grading purposes, I was surprized to hear the "Rice Crispies."  If you're going to sit back at home, in bed, in your BVD's, and sip a glass of wine, while listening to the stereo.....fine.....but this record is not for you.  This record is meant to be played by a DJ...loud, for party animals, ready to take their clothes off, scream and holla, and act like pure assholes.

This record was kept in a pet free, pest free, smokeless, air-conditioned, dehumidified, climate controled, environment for decades.

Label   : Near Mint

Sire Promo Label with no spindle scrapes or fading... and states: "Promotional Use Only-Not For Sale" which means that this is no ordinary commercial record.  It was one of the first pressings for Djs, loud and clear with a strong, deep clean pressing.

Cover Condition:   Near Mint.  Plain basic white stock cover.  No ringwear.   No markings. Paper sleeve condition:  Near Mint.

This actual record caused thousands to scream, sing, dance and dream to.    Bid wisely on this great piece of musical history.   This was a collectable record when it was originally released... Now you can have the opportunity to own this piece of musical history!

Winning bidder take notice:

Please take good care of this classic record.  She has consistantly performed well all of her life.   Take good care of her.  Don't place her on something that may scratch her...or cause her harm.  Keep her away from heat and direct hot sun, which will cause her to wilt and expire.  Place her gently on a platter, and carefully lay down her lover...a clean and balanced tonearm not to exceed 3.0 grams of weight, and she will last for all eternity.  This is all I ask.
