Description
Up for sale is an exceptionally rare single (45 RPM, 7 inch, vinyl record) with two great New Orleans blues songs. One of the songs was co-written by none other than Dr. John!

I was able to find out a little about Johni Naylor, who does such a great job as vocalist on these sides. She was born in Coushatta, Louisiana. During the 1970s (several years after the release of this record), she was apparently living in Fairbanks, Alaska as the local newspaper there had ads mentioning her gigs in local clubs there. The ads referred to her as the "New Orleans Songbird". In 1976, she was billed as "Johni Naylor and the Good Times Band" and was said to be "just back from New Orleans". She died in 1983 in Port Vincent, Louisiana.
Pitassy Records was founded by producer Jody Pitassy and located in New Orleans. The online discographies show that all of its known releases were singles, with numbers between 203 and 211. (My record is 208.)
