So for sale here we have one of Floyds most iconic titles. "Wish you were here", from 1975. UK 1st pressing with the first matrices A1 and B3. The cover is still encased with the original black shrink-wrap with hype sticker attached. The original postcard is present, along with another that I have added to this rare bundle. The included programme is superb. It is from the USA tour, but is identical to the one from the UK tour with 2 exceptions. Firstly the price on the front says 25c instead of 15p. Secondly the US version had a slightly gloss cover, made from a different paper to the inner pages, where the UK issue had the same lighter grade paper used throughout. This original and genuine programme is in exceptional condition and a rare item anyway, but in this condition, very very rare indeed.
- Black shrink-wrap cover is in great condition, and still covers 95% of the creamy white cover. Large hype sticker is perfect. Cover itself looks great with slight discolouration at the opening of the shrink. Graded as excellent -.
- Vinyl is in great shape. No marks worthy of note. Very well cared for example. It plays through superbly well. In my notes I found nothing worthy of calling as a fault or issue. No clicks, pops, sticks or jumps. This is my personal favourite Floyd album and the sound is dynamic and punchy. Highly detailed and as clear as a bell. Not heard another copy of this notoriously background noisy album that comes close to this. A seriously good example. Graded as visually excellent and play-graded excellent too.
- The cropped corner inner sleeve is in fantastic condition with no faults and grades Ex.
- Both postcards are in nigh on perfect condition and grade Ex+
- The programme is simply stunning. Not a copy. Not a re-issue. 100% genuine and in a condition that is hard to believe. This is 47 years old! but so well cared for and very rare like this. Easily graded as Ex+
So all in all a really lovely copy of this iconic album in its rarest form. 1st UK matrices A1/B3,complete with shrink-wrap, original inner, original postcard plus an extra hype postcard and an original programme from 1975 in sensational condition. A set like this very rarely, if ever, comes up for sale and would grace any collection in my view. If you miss this one I doubt you will find another in this condition, if at all.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me!
I accept returns if I am notified immediately upon you receiving the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
