Pink Floyd's legendary 1971 live performance at the ruins of Pompeii is revived with the highest quality ever. New remix sound source by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) is released on 2CD and 2LP. The definitive version with the newly designed new artwork is the ultimate final form! The legendary live performance that is very popular with Pink Floyd fans, recorded in October 1971 at the "Amphitheatre" of the ruins of Pompeii, a "World Heritage Site" in Italy, without an audience (the English title MCMLXXII is the Roman numerals "1972"). The 2CD and 2LP include "Beware of the Axe, Eugene" (alternate take) and "Mystic" (long version).
(This is the first time that Pompeii has been released on vinyl).
