Description
A 1st press of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix A2/B2-A1/B2. It is possible to fine a couple of 1's in that matrix run, but this is as close you'll ever get to very 1st pressing. Stampers 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. STICKER INCLUDED.. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+/Ex+/Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very lights marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. If you are someone who is fussy about audio do seriously consider this LP because, quite frankly, you're not going to find a better example. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio and many copies suffer some sort of interference which can be off-putting with this title. We only detected a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally] - and that really is all. THE WALL remains a classic album and the audio on offer here will knock the socks off of anything you've heard before. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex+) In very nice shape and someone has clearly looked after it down the years. Often found with a great deal of fading this example is practically free from ageing. Front and back are in really great condition with almost no handling wear. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A truly top-level example
Inners (Ex) Very nice condition. I can only make out the beginnings of one slight split. No nasty marks or creases.
