Description

Up for sale is my copy of Pink Floyd "The Wall" vinyl LP album.  A good friend gave me this album many years ago and I'm not sure if he was the original owner or bought it second hand.

I was unable to verify what year this was released (all signs point to 1979) but think I found a listing that matches it closely on the web site Discogs.

Here is the label and run out information if that helps:

Columbia ?– PC2 36183, Columbia ?– 36183

  • Matrix / Runout (Side 1 Etched): PAL 36184-1E
  • Matrix / Runout (Side 2 Etched): PBL-36184-1E
  • Matrix / Runout (Side 3 Etched): PAL-36185-1F
  • Matrix / Runout (Side 4 Etched): PBL 36185-1AG

According to the website Discogs,
I found this information best matched the album on this page:
https://www.discogs.com/Pink-Floyd-The-Wall/release/5051412

The cover and interior are in decent shape but not perfect. It has very slight cover scuffing (front and back- pictured),
minor corner wear, some dings along the opening edges, minor ring wear, various slight indentations on both sides of the cover (hard to see in pictures) and some creasing on a few corners. The interior of the gate fold looks pretty nice with no major condition issues to report.

The inner sleeves have all the lyrics to the songs and is made of paper. They are slightly wrinkled and have visible creases on the corners from use. There are 2 side seam splits along the edge of the side 1/2 sleeve (bottom intact) and 3 side seam splits along the edge of the side 3/4 sleeve (bottom not intact). These splits are mostly 4-5 inches long with one side split of 8 inches on the side 3/4. Otherwise the inner sleeves are in nice condition.

The albums visually appears to be in excellent shape but could use a good cleaning. I could not find any scratches on sides 1-3 though there was a smudge and light line on side 4. I played this album somewhat infrequently and carefully handled it. So the inner sleeves appear to have taken the brunt on the use over the years but did a good job keeping the vinyl in near nice condition.

PLEASE review the numerous pictures to evaluate the condition yourself as I am not used to grading record albums (comic books is another matter).

Anyway-- let me know if you have any additional questions.

I will take great care packing this album for media mail. I also offer a priority mail option.

I am always willing to combine shipping when possible. You just need to request a revised invoice after committing to multiple items.
LP is removed from cover/inner sleeve and wrapped in lightweight paper (or sometimes newspaper) separately for shipping to help prevent any seam splitting. I have developed a method of shaping cardboard specifically for shipping albums to withstand brutal delivery conditions, including wrapping the media mail package in heavy plastic. It is kind of a process for me but I haven't had any complaints from those receiving my packages.

Thanks for looking.
