2LP CBS Records Australia FIRST pressing 1979 'Penjane' labels.
Catalogue: S2BP 220216
Condition: The gatefold sleeve is very near mint the only defect is one tiny corner bump and a couple of very faint marks on top right corner (not obvious). Custom printed inner sleeves are near mint with only faint creases because they are paper thin and a few faint age spots around the perimeter of the sleeves, I doubt that records have ever been in them. No tears, no writing, no cuts or gouges on the cover or sleeves.
Vinyl: Record 1: - A few extremely faint hairline scuffs on both sides and a few faint spindle marks on side 2 only. A short scratch approx 8mm in length on side 2, through the 3rd song 'Mother' but is not at all severe I have seen deeper scratches that played through fine so I would expect the same from this. Record 2: - Apart from a few spindle marks, side 3 appears near mint, with no scuffs or scratches. Side 4 has 4 light scratches through the last 3 tracks, a few very light hairlines and a couple of spindle marks.
Also included in this listing is a music sheet for 'Waiting for The Worms' it has been signed by Richard Wright and David Gilmour and has a Certificate of Authenticity from Hiwaystar Collectables, item number: 64690000179 Item is in MINT condition. Please see the photo.
I have played through the last 3 tracks on side 4 using my sony turntable connected to my computer speakers. I was unable to detect any audio destortion that I expected would be caused by scratches on the vinyl and thus assess the scratches to be superficial in nature only. As these are visually the worst scratches on the album I would conclude also that the other scratch visible on side 2 also to be superficial.
You have just been provided with a complete and honest assessment of this complete album which is alot more than you get from most sellers. Some would even list an item as near mint and send you something different or not in as good condition. Take heart that the apprasial is brutally honest and not just assessed as 'excellent' or 'very good'.
