Here we go!

Lovely clean and scarce Italian-pressed copy of this 1979 epic double from Pink Floyd.

Released and distributed extensively worldwide in 1979, it has to be one of the most re-issued and re-pressed albums ever, with something approaching 500 different variations out there across all formats.

This is the Italian-pressed Harvest edition, complete with the rare clear plastic title panel that sticks to the otherwise blank front-cover.

Vinyl: Both Discs VG+ Lovely clean copies. Obviously handled and played, but both retain a nice deep lustre and sheen whilst showing some superficial hairline surface marks. Play-tested and reproduction is spot-on. Some light crackle and hiss here and there, but any minor flaws are almost entirely masked by the audio track. Labels are the custom-designed Gerald Scarfe cartoons with all label text in a fine manuscript font. All labels are clean and free from scuffs, stains and blemishes, but show light evidence of spindle-wear. The side-3 label just about shows the feint impression of the purple duty-stamp.

Sleeve: VG+ In great shape for its age. (Maybe VG+ is harsh) Iconic Matt-finish gatefold card sleeve with off white brick wall design. This copy comes with the clear plastic panel containing band name and title that sticks by static to the cover. (So often missing) Inner gatefold is illustrated with the infamous Scarfe cartoons.

Structurally sound with no splits or tears - some obvious evidence of ring-wear.

The records are housed in card inner sleeves with lyrics printed in the same manuscript type. The inners are in good shape too.

It’s a good honest copy from a bewildering number of versions out there.

From a collectors point of view, apart from the obvious limited coloured promos, I don’t have a clue why any one version should be more sought after than the others when there are so many variations.

But if anyone desperately wants one of the Italian pressings, or just wants a copy of this iconic album, then maybe this is the one for you!
