The Final Cut is the twelfth studio album by Pink Floyd, released in 1983 under the Columbia label. This LP features a powerful concept album, largely the work of Roger Waters, serving as a requiem for the post-war dream. The album is known for its deeply emotional themes and cinematic orchestration, including contributions from the National Philharmonic Orchestra and a variety of session musicians. Pressed on standard black vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, this record includes iconic tracks such as "The Post War Dream," "One of the Few," "The Fletcher Memorial Home," and the epic title track "The Final Cut." The gatefold inner displays full lyrics alongside evocative imagery, enhancing the immersive experience of the album. This pressing carries catalog number QC 38243, and the front cover features the distinctive black background with colorful military ribbons and a poppy flower motif.
