Description
You are buying a new/sealed The Darkside Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. This is the long out of print 30th anniversary edition pressed on black vinyl. It's status is quite legendary at this point as it was the last time this historic album was made "all analog". Apparently the master tapes have degraded at this point as the 2016 version is from a digital source. Audiophiles continue to argue as to which pressing reigns supreme but the consensus is this version ranks among the very best. However, If you made it this far you are probably aware of this already.
Now is time for the bad news. I bought this record along with a few others from an older gentleman about a decade ago. I never asked how it got damaged but similar records I pulled turned out fine (minus bent corners). This record comes in a poly lined inner sleeve and I don't see any seam splits nor water damage. Thus, I have listed the record as mint and the jacket as good plus. My advice for buyers would be to swap the vinyl with one of the latest reissues and you would have a beautiful looking and sounding copy. If you are obsessive about things then you could wait for a 30th anniversary copy with a nice sleeve but poor record and swap that way. In either case, sell the leftovers and you have a cost effective copy of this glorious album.
Of course I should mention I don't do returns. If you want to take the chance then go for it. I am assuming the record is mint as there are no signs to the contrary. If I opened this to examine then I doubt anyone would believe that it was never played. Item will be shipped in a record mailer with a plastic sleeve to help prevent seam splits and "fragile" stickers. Considering the high price this goes for I will make extra sure it is packaged securely and you may have to sign for delivery (this prevents porch theft and dropped/stepped on packages).
