Pink Floyd Saucerful Of Secrets 1st UK Mono Black/Blue Factory Sample Demo 1G.


This is the Floyds 2nd album in original mono. It is on the black and blue Columbia label from 1968.

Cat no. SX 6268.

I have just replayed this for the 1st time in a while and is sounds lovely. There are no skips or jumps just a little static crackle that a professional clean should improve. There is what I call some bag rash from the the inner sleeve removal. There are no feelable marks and the surfaces retain a good sheen to them.

There is no writing or sticker removal marks on the labels just a little wear around the centre hole, please see the pics. The factory sample sticker is adhered to side 2.

Matrix no's. xax 3633-1 and xax 3634-1

Stampers are 1G and 1G so one of the very very 1st pressed probably for review purposes!

The Tax code is JKT stamped on side 2.

The outer cover has the 3 flaps on the rear and is in nice condition with no missing paper or seam splits. The are some creases under the lamination around the opening edge and a little corner bumps again please see the pics. Overall the cover is really nice still with a good shine to it.

The inner sleeve is the generic black and white EMI ad version of the period.

Quite a rare record now.
