On November 17, 2017, Pink Floyd Records released a re-release of the albums A Collection Of Great Dance Songs and Delicate Sound Of Thunder on vinyl - records are available in this format for the first time in 20 years. This is the first collection of the best compositions and the first live album of the group, which was released on vinyl remastered.
Over the past two years, Pink Floyd Records has remastered and released all of the band's studio albums in stereo on heavy, 180-gram vinyl. These albums have been remastered using original analog studio recordings and the covers have been carefully reproduced. The same goes for the band's best songs and live albums.
Pink Floyd's A Collection Of Great Dance Songs, released in 1981, went double platinum in 2001. This compilation contains alternative mixes and versions of the band's classic tracks, including Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) and Money.
The songs on the Delicate Sound Of Thunder album were recorded during the band's five-day concert in August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York. The record is known for being the first rock album to be listened to in space.
