There are THREE PROMOTIONAL RECORDS in this auction by PINK FLOYD and former band member, ROGER WATERS.

As you probably know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were ONLY released by record companies to VIPs in the industry and primarily to the radio stations and DJs for on-air play. They were produced in very small/limited quantities and were NOT made available for sale to the general public; therefore, many promotional records are particularly hard-to-find these days and have become HIGHLY DESIRABLE to vinyl collectors and fans of certain recording artists/bands.

PROMO RECORD #1:

• “ONE OF THESE DAYS” b/w “FEARLESS” by Pink Floyd

• This is Capitol Records PRO-6378 / PRO-6370.

• The “ONE OF THESE DAYS” side is PRO-6378, and the “FEARLESS” side is PRO-6370.

• This is a CAPITOL RECORDS PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with the Capitol “target” style labels that was released in 1971.

• “PROMOTIONAL RECORD” and “NOT FOR SALE” are printed in the lower areas of both labels.

• The “ONE OF THESE DAYS” side is the A-Side of the record indicated by the black star printed in front of the title.

• Both sides are in MONO (monaural) with “MONO” printed on both labels.

• “(From LP ‘MEDDLE’ SMAS-832)” is also printed on both labels.

• The LABELS are CLEAN and NICE. There are NO tears, NO writing, NO stickers or tape, and NO sticker/tape stains that are often found on promo records from typical DJ use.

• The VINYL is in VG+ CONDITION with VERY light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none at all “feel-able”) and LOTS OF GLOSS.

• This record comes with its correct generic Capitol Records paper sleeve.

PROMO RECORD #2:

• “5:01AM (THE PROS AND CONS OF HITCH HIKING)” b/w “5:01AM (THE PROS AND CONS OF HITCH HIKING)” by Roger Waters

• This is a COLUMBIA RECORDS PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with WHITE LABELS that was released in 1984.

• It is Columbia Records 38-04455.

• It has WHITE PROMOTIONAL LABELS on both sides, and both sides are in STEREO with the same 4:35 play time.

• “DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE” is printed on both labels.

• “Taken From The Columbia LP ‘THE PROS AND CONS OF HITCH HIKING’ FC 39290” is printed under the song title on both sides.

• The WHITE PROMO LABELS are CLEAN and NICE. There are NO tears, NO writing, NO stickers or tape, and NO sticker/tape stains often found on promo records from typical DJ use.

• The VINYL is in VG+ CONDITION with VERY light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none at all “feel-able”) and LOTS OF GLOSS.

• This record comes with its correct generic Columbia Records paper sleeve.

PROMO RECORD #3:

• “RADIO WAVES (Single Version) b/w “RADIO WAVES (Edit)” by Roger Waters

• This is a COLUMBIA RECORDS PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with WHITE LABELS that was released in 1987.

• It is Columbia Records CS7 02745.

• It has WHITE PROMOTIONAL LABELS on both sides, and both sides are in STEREO.

• The “RADIO WAVES (Single Version) side has a play time of 3:47, and the “RADIO WAVES (Edit)” side has a play time of 4:13.

• “DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE” is printed on both labels.

• “Taken From The Columbia LP ‘RADIO K.A.O.S.’ FC 40795” is printed under the song title on both sides.

• The WHITE PROMO LABELS are CLEAN and NICE. There are NO tears, NO writing, NO stickers or tape, and NO sticker/tape stains often found on promo records from typical DJ use.

• The VINYL is in NEAR MINT CONDITION with just a few very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs and LOTS OF GLOSS.

• This record comes with its correct generic Columbia Records paper sleeve.
