Pink Floyd ~ One of these Days/Fearless ~ US promo ~ Mono ~ 1971
Here is an unusal offering from the depths of my Floyd vault. It is the American 7” 45 rpm of One of these Days/Fearless. This single combination was only released in the US and Italy.
However, this edition is the mono promo release, as stated on the label. One side bears some black marker on the label as shown on the photo, but this is still an oddity from the band’s 1971 release “Meddle”, and a rare find!. It is presented with the original white sleeve printed in the yellow and blue Capitol graphics.
It has likely been played and shows some paper scuffs, though not abused. Similarly, the sleeve shows some tanning due to age, but no tears or splits. This single is 38 years old and is a must-have curio for the definitive Floyd collection. Don’t let it get away!!

"One of These Days" is the opening track from Pink Floyd's 1971 album Meddle. Save for the spoken line "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces" the song is instrumental and features double-tracked bass guitars played by David Gilmour and Roger Waters.
"Fearless" is the title of the third track on Meddle. Roger Waters composed the song on guitar using an open tuning in G major that he learned from Syd Barrett. He plays the acoustic guitar parts on the studio recording, despite his job as the band's usual bassist. [1]
Near the beginning and at the end of the song, a field recording of fans in Liverpool's Kop singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" is superimposed over the music. The song is almost regarded as an underground hit for Pink Floyd, because although it was not released as a single in the UK or played live by the band, it remains greatly favoured among hardcore fans.
