1973 1st UK pressing of this masterpiece on sold-blue triangle EMI/Havest label: SHVL 804


Matrix numbers: SHVL 804 A-2 & SHVL 804 B-2

Stamper codes: 5/LO & 2/GAR

Vinyl weight: 151g


Housed in a correct dark blue 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover with sealed front pocket.

Including both posters but only one graphics stickers with "FasPrint" on the back.

Complete with die-cut black poly-lined inner sleeve with patent numbers and "Made in Great Britain" printed in silver along the bottom edge.


CONDITION

Disc

Visually: NEAR MINT

Pristine & unmarked factory fresh playing surfaces bearing only a few of the faintest wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve beneath halogen light.

Audibly: EXCELLENT

This disc has clearly not been played very much at all but some moderate background is audible in the quieter passages (in one channel mostly), throughout which takes the shine off an otherwise fine example of this gem. However, there are no other significant distractions and there is still much to enjoy on this incredible pressing.

Cover: EXCELLENT

This early & correct example has light shelf/storage wear but no major faults. There is a touch of wear to the opening edges and a small bend in the lower left area of the rear pocket.  The inside of the gatefold is unblemished and all seams and the unworded spine are undamaged.

Posters: Both are factory-folded and unhung. The group poster has 'May 1973' written on the back and a 1cm tear to the right edge along the central fold.

Sticker: Unpeeled with a moderate diagonal crease.

Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +

Light to moderate storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
