Description

An original 2nd press of DSOTM on UK harvest [late summer '73]. Matrix A3/B2. We'd all like a solid blue copy - but prices are somewhat astronomical. This example comes just one month after the 'solid-blue' copies - and is every bit their equal for audio and solidity. There is no better way to witness DSOTM - particularly on the value for money front. "Gramophone" text at perimeter label. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a midnight blue cover with left panel glued shut. Both thick paper posters and the two stickers. There's the original 1st issue back inner too.  So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition having only seen relatively light use. Take a close look at those labels - you don't seen that every day of the week! Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing troublesome...most copies are nowhere near this clean looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least EXCELLENT level of playback with two slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Nice clean signal throughout. One of the cleanest runs into side 1 I've ever heard - almost no copies manage that. Maximum dynamic segment toward the end of side 1 is capable of full delivery. Truly a beaut of a copy - not sure I've ever witnessed better. It's playing clean into the super fussy segments too which is really unusual...Yes, not witnessed a consistently cleaner player - ever. Could not really be bettered overall. All I could make out was a couple of minor ticks in 'Money'. And one solitary tick on side 1. Other than that expect an absolutely cracking rendition. Highly recommended -  in every way.
Cover (Vg+) Its the original sought after version and in very decent condition over all. A lovely clean front with much less surface wear than you usually find, a crease in the top left. The rear looks superb without issue.  A bit of light handing evidence in the interior and one minor crease. Spine is really nice with just minor wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Bag present. No splits.
Posters (Vg+) Have been on a wall and have aged a bit. But pretty tidy.
Stickers (Vg+) Slight ageing. One small crease.
