Description
I am selling part of my vinyl collection which has been accumulated over the years. I am not a dealer but have realised that if I pass these records on they will not be appreciated for what they are.
So on offer here is a superb First Press Factory Sample promo copy of Animals by Pink Floyd, released on the EMI Harvest label in 1977, catalogue number SHVL 815.
The gatefold sleeve made by Garrod and Lofthouse is in Excellent condition with some points of wear on the tips of the corners and some minor rubbing at the bottom. It does not have a barcode, and on the rear has a “ FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE” sticker
I cleaned the vinyl on my Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine before playing it at high volume on my system ( Michell Gyrodec, SME arm, Naim pre and power amps and Bowers and Wilkins 802D Nautilus speakers)
It sounds as you would expect for a first pressing superb , and plays in Near Mint condition with only some very minor crackle on lead in on Side One and at the end of the first track, but I must stress this is very minor and extremely short lived
First pressings of this quality are difficult to come by and a Factory Sample makes this even more desirable
It will be sent in a professional record mailer with two stiffeners used by record shops
