One (1) Pre-Owned Pink Floyd - "Atom Heart Mother" MFSL Vinyl LP
I've owned this LP for 2 years & don't know the history but there are 3 long shallow scratches on side 1 of this album. They do not cause any skips but they do cause several ticks and pops during the quieter parts of the Atom Heart Mother suite. They physically start around the 7:00 mark (the middle of Mother's Fore) but don't really become noticeable until the 10:00 mark (Mother's Fore into Funky Dung) before fading again, then being most noticeable during the first part of Mind Your Throats Please and finally gone by the 20:00 mark. There is also some notable surface noise at the very beginning that tapers off as the music fades in. There may also be some other random ticks before the scratches but nothing notable.
Side 2 is definitely in better shape, but far from perfect. A playthrough reveals some ticks & small pops during If; some small ticks during Summer '68; Fat Old Sun has 2 very hard to see tiny marks that each cause a few repeating pops and finally there are small repeating ticks at both the beginning & the end of Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast plus a few random ticks in the middle.
I would probably rate the vinyl a VG/VG-. Overall, it still sounds great, but it has flaws (and some are more noticeable than others). The gatefold is in EXC condition, with only a slight crease on the spine and a slightly bent bottom corner. (Please see photos.)
This item has been stored upright in a pet-free, smoke-free home. It will be shipped with the vinyl removed from the gatefold in a LP mailer sandwiched between cardboard reinforcement fillers.
