Description
- The Pink Fairies are a group from London circa 1970, this record was 1971
- Polydor Records No 2383 045
- Came from the library at Newcastle Poly, now Northumbria Uni, when they sold off their records, I bought it from a chap that cleared a lot I think, he had a stall in Middlesborough market.
- I am grading the record as very good though when I played it I heard one click / pop on Wargirl on side one.
- Track One Side Two (the title and the position) has a very quiet intro and it has seven loud pops then several light clicks until the guitar kicks in, its a quiet track and I heard click / pop on Teenage Rebel.
- I have looked at the disc carefully, there is a scratch but its very light and starts after the loud pops so I don't know if this is a caused by pressing flaw. The disc does have a factory sample label, maybe it was a reject.
- I cleaned the record even though I don't think it needed it, it did reduce the light crackle on the quieter parts so I think most of this is due to the vinyl pressing. It is hard to see the surface, intially it looks EX but under the right light you can see the bag withdrawl hairline
- The record is a pink vinyl
- The plastic outer cover is Very Good I cannot see much wrong with it regarding the paint, there is a short split on the seam again see photos
- The inner cover that folds open again is in very good condition just some light creasing
- The white library sleeve that the disc is in is very good condition, nothing wrong with it
- PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS TO SATISFY YOURSELF ABOUT THE ITEM VISUALLY AND THE CONDITION OF COVER
- I stand by very good as a record grading, there is only the lightest crackle between tracks, obviously it has been played and the colour vinyl likely does not help but visually it looks, the loud pops on quiet intro to track 1 side 2 are what lets it down from a much better grading.
