PiL: METAL BOX 1979 1st UK PRESSING ON VIRGIN Cat No. METAL 1
A really nice original copy of this unique release. 3 x 12" discs in the metal canister with printed insert and circular paper separators. Plays beautifully throughout.

CONDITION OF VINYL The vinyl is clean and shiny with just some very faint groove wear visible in a few places. Also, record 1 Side A has a pair of parallel hairlines, but neither of these things have any effect on playback, which is pretty faultless throughout. Labels are clean with some minor spindle marks. There is a slight yellowing in some of the white areas, probably from being stored in the tin for a long time. Overall grade is VG+.
CONDITION OF COVER Obviously it is difficult to grade a metal canister but this one is in nice shape. It has light tarnishing / ageing as you would expect, though less so than many copies I have seen for sale, and there is no full-on rust. It has no dents and opens fairly easily. The printed insert is taped inside the lid. By the colour of the tape, this was clearly done many years ago. The circular inter-leaf paper separators are present and in decent condition. The "METAL 1" sticker is still on the underside. Overall grade is EX.
The album will be packed very carefully and securely in sturdy packaging to ensure it reaches you safely. The 3 discs will be separated from the canister and placed in poly-lined inner sleeves to prevent any damage in transit. You will see many favourable comments about the quality of our packaging in our previous feedback.
