Mega Rare LP of Philly Joe Jones - Showcase (Riverside 1159 - stereo) Original black label edition with reel and mic logo, Bill Grauer Productions New York City and Deep Groove on both sides - NOT a current re-issue!. (Small size labels) Extremely rare session for drummer Jones also features Julian Priester, Pepper Adams, Sonny Clark, Blue Mitchell and others in an acknowledged classic that no serious jazz collector can be without.
The LP is in VG+ condition with marks that will make noise and with much if not most of the original shine - not for the audiophile, but certainly not trashed either - still, you will hear noise. The cover is in VG+ condition with some general age/shelf wear and brown tape on the top and bottom seams. NO writing, NO stickers, NO stamps. Not perfect, but how many of these do you see at any price or condition?
