Philly Joe Jones Sextet ' Blues for Dracula ' RIVERSIDE 12-282 (USA) mono blue small label with deep grove - rec. in New York on September 17, 1958 - original 1958 first issueSide 1 : Blues for Dracula (J.Griffin) - Trick street (O.Marshall) - Fiesta (C.Massey/arr. P.J.Jones) Side 2 : Tune-up (M-Davis) - Ow! (D.Gillespie) Visual grading : record is Good+ to VG- still much luster has one light scratch on each side and a light unfeelable line on most part of side 2. Has also some light unfeelable surface marks and paper's scuffs on both sides. Clean labels with some spindle wear Playing grading : record is VG- plays with loud and clear sound. Has a light continuous background noise and some occasional crackling for most part of side 1. Side 2 plays better with light occasional background noise and light occasional short crackling. All this background noise is always below music's level and is more audible in quieter parts (i.e. piano solo, bass solo etc.) Please note that this record, even if with its faults, is actually nicely playable Cover grading : cover is Good+ has wear to corners, edges and to spine which has titles readable. Top right corner has been repaired for a seam split. Laminated front cover is quite nice. Back cover has some rubbing, a couple of small stains on top and a wrinkle around top right corner. Has also a small piece of slick paper missing on bottom left corner of back cover (see pic 2-3). Also few liner notes on back are shortly underlined
