U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin, formed in 1976. They began their legacy rooting their music in the political turmoil that was all around them.

After having Steve Lillywhite produce their first three albums, U2 looked for a more sophisticated and experimental sound.
They hired Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno to produce "The Unforgettable Fire" and "The Joshua Tree" albums,
which both put them onto the charts all over the world.
After the 80's ended U2 re-invented themselves once again. Incorporating elements of electronics into their rock construct,
U2 created a new sound with "Achtung Baby".
Bono and the band used their notoriety more than ever expressing their opinions on social matters on a global scale.

The Joshua Tree is U2's fifth studio album and was released on 9 March 1987 (US) / 10 Mar 1987 (Europe).
It won the 1988 Grammy award for Album Of The Year and saw the band on the cover of Time magazine billed as 'Rock's Hottest Ticket.'

It entered the US album charts at No. 7 and reached No. 1 three weeks later. It was U2's first album to reach No. 1 in the United States.
In 1999, it was awarded the RIAA's highest certification, Diamond, with 10 million units sold.
The album also peaked at No. 1 on the UK, Canadian, West German, Dutch and Australian charts.
In Switzerland, the album reached No. 1 on the charts and stayed there for a total of 33 weeks.

The album and sleeve cover also placed No. 1 in Rolling Stone magazine's annual Music Awards chosen by readers.
Critics there made it their No. 2 album of the year. U2 also won Best Rock Performance By A Group Or Duo at the Grammy Awards for the album.

Vinyl is in good condition with lots of scratches, which is common to this kind of record.

Album sleeves is in good condition, it even retained the original plastic shrink wrap, which has partly torn.
Have tape and wear on plastic affecting the album sleeves. Small written marking in front done by the previous owner.
Labels have minor damaged on Side One and written marking on Side 2 done by the previous owner. Still a desirable copy.
