Philip Cohran and the Artistic Heritage Ensemble - Zulu Records - NO.0004   Record: G+ to VG- (numerous light scratches, marks and wear. "The Minstrel" and "Unity" play fairly well, in the VG- realm, while the flipside with "On the Beach" and "Motherhood" play with significant background noise: in the G+ realm.  If you prefer the side with "The Minstrel" and "Unity" this might serve as a decent play copy for you.  I've made soundclips from this record, so you can judge the grading with your own ears).  Sleeve: VG (2 inch split, centre bottom spine. "Patricia Jones" and "Brenda Jones" signatures are written 3 times on the cover, and the photo of Patricia Smith - lead vocalist - has been lightly circled on the back cover in pencil, leading me to wonder if this was perhaps Patricia's copy - remarried as "Jones", or maybe Patricia Jones was just jazzed that they shared the same name?).  Very rare LP and one of the few albums that stretches for the stars and enters the cosmic realms that Ra's music reached - which makes sense considering that Cohran was a former member of the Arkestra.  Do not miss this!

Grading scale that I use:   NM  /  EX (VG++)  /  VG+ /  VG  /  VG-  /  G +  /  P (poor).  I post nothing below G+, and rarely use NM. 

I grade sonically, using a Shure M44-7 cartridge with a Technics SL 1200.   Presently, I supply my own sound clips for 45 singles only. Payment expected within 5 days of auction close. I ship within 1 to 2 days of receiving payment.  Owlsleep wishes you Happy bidding!
