PHIL SPECTOR SPECTACULAR PROMO ONLY LP 1972--SIGNED AND Personally ADDRESSED BY PHIL SPECTOR. PHLP100
In 1972, Phil Had A Few Special LPs Pressed To Answer The Request From Programmers For Previously Released Records, At a Time When Most Existing Copies Were Worn Out, Not Available, Or In Such Bad Condition The Could Not Be Played On Air. These Special Pressings Were To Be Sent, With The Enclosed Letter, Signed By Phil And Personally Addressed To Certain People Phil Thought Were Influential Enough To Get These LPs For Some Reason---They Were Never Sent Out. And Now, Are Some Of the Rarest Records Ever Released By Phil Spector. RE: CAL RUDMAN Cal Rudman Published An Industry Insider Tip Sheet For Popular Music Programmers Call the FMQB (Friday Morning Quarterback) That Helped Programmers Play Breaking Hits. In 1972. The FMQB Was the Most Read, And Anticipated Insider Publication Of It's Time.  It Is Still Published Today. It Is My Opinoin That This Record Has Never Been Played, The Letter And Address Sheet Are Totally Original (No Copies) As Is All The Packaging. All Items, RECORD, LETTER, LABEL, PACKAGING, Are Original To Period. Headed Letter Reads:  In a plain white card sleeve with typed letter on Phil Spector Productions / 9130 Sunset Boulevard / Los Angeles.  "Over the years, I've received requests for many of the original single recordings that I produced when I actively ran Philles Records ------- featuring such artists as the Righteous Brothers, The Ronettes, The Crystals, Ike and Tina Turner, Darlene Love, and Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans. Because so many of these recordings are practically impossible to obtain, and because a vast majority of the requests were from people in the field of broadcasting who have been kind enough to ask and who made these records successful in the beginning, I've put together 18 of these best selling and most requested original recordings on this one album for programming purposes only and not for sale or any other distribution at this time. I would like to thank those of you who still think of these recordings, and should you wish to program any of them, I do hope they bring some pleasure and happy memories to you and your listeners".
