Pharoah Sanders' "Thembi" is a jazz record that refuses to sit quietly in the background. Recorded with the energy of a live session, it's as vibrant and dynamic as Sanders' own playing style. Featuring tracks like "Astral Traveling" and "Morning Prayer," it's a masterclass in what jazz can be when it's looking forward, not back.
