An extremely collectable original (1970) pressing of a record that the BBC tried to ban........
If you are looking, you will be aware of Peter Wyngarde both as Jason King and as a louche intoner of weird and disturbing material.
This 'cult' item appears to be self parodic.......He kept telling RCA and other labels that he couldn't sing but they signed him anyway.
He was given full artistic freedom to create, with Vic Smith and others, this super rare curiosity.
The platter itself looks to be in good shape with nice orange labels both sides. Please look at the pics!!!!!!
The 'Music' (effectively mellifluous spoken word) remains disturbing and sometimes compelling. It was re-released in '98 as "When Sex Leers Its Inquisitive Head" which was apparently the original working title and appears as a line in the sleeve-note.
This is really a cult piece - offered elsewhere on eBay at £250. I will start it at £50 and let it find its level!!
