   For sale is Peter Tosh's Equal Rights, originally released in 1977 by Columbia Records.  In the dead wax between the label and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A, indicating that the first stamper was used to make this first edition. This is a hallmark of superior sound quality sought after by collectors and music lovers alike. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put it away into a MFSL archival inner sleeve.  This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG because of ring wear, corner blunts, stress cracks along the edges and a crease in the middle of the jacket's opening. The spine has color loss because of these cracks and rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. I play grade it as Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment and still has a lot of life yet. This is the best copy of this very rare album that I have ever heard or seen and you would be hard pressed to find a first edition like this one ever again.
