Peter Pete & The Lovers with The Travelers on Derby Records From 1960
“A Lonely Island†b/w “Pistol Packing Mama†LISTEN TO SOUND SAMPLE HERE !
Peter Pete & The Lovers recorded this group / doowop record in Louisville, KY in 1960. It seems to be a regional record with most copies turning up in the Louisville area.
I found this copy in Louisville about fifteen years ago.
â€A Lonely Island†is a nice group / doowop ballad while the flip is a comical but good recording of the old country hit by Al Dexter from 1953.
Listen to a bit of “A Lonely Island†by clicking the Sound Sample Above.

I have been digging through radio station libraries & record distributor warehouses for over 30 years to add to my collection. The records listed here are the result of that activity.
