Description

Peter Bardens The Answer VERY RARE ORIG 1970 UK TRANSATLANTIC LP A1/B1 ! . On UK Transatlantic Stereo TRA 222 . A SIDE: 1 The Answer 2 Don't Goof With A Spook 3 I Can't Remember . B SIDE: 1 I Don't Want To Go Home 2 Let's Get It On 3 Homage To The God Of Light .

Cover: Laminated front and rear generally in very good near excellent overall condition . All is still nice and shiny . Light main edge wear . There is some laminate lift mainly along the left hand outer ( spine ) edge . There is just some light rub wear on the corners which has taken off some surface colour . The spine is very good and fully legible though there is some flattening towards the bottom left corner where the " Transatlantic " logo has slightly gone onto the rear of the cover . Other than this there are just a few light and small usual crack lines . There are just a few very light and small surface crack lines in places on the edges . There is one surface only laminate creasewear line on the front . There are just a few very light and small surface marks . The laminate on this cover does not cover the entire sleeve so there is a very tiny thin line around the outer edges where the laminate has ended . This does show a light faded very thin line mainly on the top an opening edge of the rear . There is a laminate crease line near the top right hand corner on the rear as seen in the photo's , but this , i must admit does look worse than it actually is . Again there is some laminate lift mainly down the right hand ( spine ) edge , as stated on the front description . There is some normal and usual useage wear on the opening edges . There is no writing etc and all is intact . All in all a very nice , generally clean and tidy example . The record comes with a plain white paper inner sleeve generally in good overall condition . There are some creases mainly following the usual ringwear marks and some browning mainly around the outer edges . There is one small knick on the outer circle on one side only . There is just some general and normal useage wear on the top opening edges .

Record: Generally in very good , near excellent overall condition ( actually this is much closer to between very good and excellent , being a lot closer to excellent ) with just a few very light and small surface marks only . It plays on the whole , beautifully crisp and clear throughout with just the very occasional very feint bit of background only static and the very occasional light tick on the very quieter parts only . I must say that even most of the track changeovers are virtually noise free . This record really does on the whole play and sound superb . The overall audio tones are still truely awesome . There are no jumps etc and it still retains a lovely overall shine . If i had one small thing to say about it , then there is a very very slight high spot in one place only on the outer edge , visible on side one only . This really is very very slight indeed and i know that most people would not have even mentioned it as it really is that small and extremely slight indeed , but i do like to be thorough with all my descriptions . As you can imagine , obviously there is no affect on the play or sound quality at all , i really can't stress how small this is ! . Both labels are generally in excellent overall condition with just a couple of miniscule spot marks on side one label as seen in the photo's , again these really are pin prick size as you can see and are probably even from the time of manufacture . There are just a few very small and light spindle marks . All in all a lovely example of this now very rare and very collectable item , together with super overall sound ! . Turn this one up and enjoy !! . Bar the bit of usual laminate lift and the surface crease mark as already stated , this really must be one of the better examples out there today , though as you all know , getting harder and harder to find at all !! . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please note that the higher start price does reflect the overall condition and the rarity of this item , thank you .

ALL RECORDS , DVD’s , VIDEOS + CD’s ARE PLAY TESTED FROM START TO FINISH ON BOTH SIDES .

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Postage prices shown are  for  the UK and Europe only . Please note that any bids that exceed £30.00p  GBP ( inclusive ) , will be sent via 1st class recorded in the UK and International signed for if outside the UK . Please be aware that the extra cost for this WILL be added on to the base rates that are shown , thank you . Please can you wait for my invoice before paying , as i will not know wether the record is to be sent via recorded or standard delivery , thank you . Please also note that I always obtain proper proof of postage when I post any items . Recorded delivery at the moment is an extra £5.30p for Europe and an extra £1.10p if within the UK thank you .

Please note that whilst I haven’t increased my postage charges for quite a while now , this , now second recent price increase within a year , has seen me , unfortunately , have to put a slight increase on my overall charges . This is also topped with the rise in cost for quality card mailers and stiffeners . I will mention that it now costs me between £3.42p and £3.50p ( depending on whether I buy 50 or 100 mailers with two stiffeners ) to post an LP in the UK 1st class with 2 stiffeners . Please also note that I now send ALL LP’s with a minimum of 3 stiffeners and all 7” singles with a minimum of 2 stiffeners . Believe it or not , these stiffeners are now 20p each for LP’s . A 7” single now costs me £1.49p to post 1st class with 2 stiffeners in the UK . As you can see , I am actually still making a loss on postage overall , but I do obviously want to still remain competitive and still offer  my usual top quality service . My apologies also to all my European friends , as there is now yet another steep increase on all postage outside of the UK , so again I am sorry for also having to increase my European postage prices .

Please note that due to high ( mainly dollar ) currency conversion charges by Paypal topped with that most of my records are below £5.00p each , i can no longer offer a worldwide postal service. A £2.29p record to the USA now comes with a 68p charge from Paypal , plus all other Ebay costs , the new much higher postage costs , card mailers etc . As you can see , this is no longer viable , i am very sorry for any inconvenience .

Please note, all records and cd’s dvd’s and cassettes are tested from start to finish. Records are packed in proper card mailers with a minimum of 3 stiffeners for LP’s and 2 for 7” singles .  CD’s and DVD’s are sent in strong bubble wrap envelopes. These are also taped with brown parcel tape along all edges and seams for added protection. All are sent via RM 1st Class post or Airmail small packets .

Please note that I do not own a pro record cleaning machine , so whilst all my records are generally all clean and have a very nice shine , there obviously maybe some traces of dust particles from cleaning manually , thank you .
