Description
For sale is Pete Seeger & Arlo Guthrie Together In Concert, originally released in 1975 by Reprise Records, a division of Warner Brothers Records, in a double album set with a gate-fold presentation. The record has the original all-tan (dull orange) labels with the steamboat and the ":r" logo in a box at the top. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers JW-1/JW-1/JW-2/JW-1, indicating that early stampers were used to make these first editions. These hallmarks are sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. Combined with the fact that Reprise records are known for their state-of-the-art engineering, make this a remarkable sounding set. I bought this record set used, professionally cleaned them on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the records into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve or insert with this listing. The cover is graded as Excellent because of ring wear and a stain on the top of the front cover. The spine is Near Mint. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of faint sleeve marks and some minor surface scratches. I'm play grading it as VG+ because of occasional ticking and very low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet sections. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Because of the scarcity of this album set, you would be hard pressed to find one like this beautiful first edition. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
