Description
This is a mega rare, and probably one of a kind Blue Note test pressing of a Pete Johnson piano solo. There is no song title on it, and the label has hand written notes on it. It says, unissued, 1 take, and Master At Clark in NJ. The label has a matrix # RS 661-9, and that number is also stamped into the dead wax as well. The record is shellac and is one sided. It has a slight warp, but the surface is in pretty decent shape. It plays with noise throughout, but is still an enjoyable listen. This was probably recorded in December of 1939, and this track has also probably never been released before.
