Description
For auction today: Twelve inch 78 rpm of Per Gynt & Wanderer Nachtlied performed by The Berliner Trio (Prof. Meyer-Mahr, Heinrich Grunfeld & Alfred Wittenberg) on the Polyphon Musik label.
One light scratch to start of S1, otherwise in extraordinary condition, esp given the age of the disc, with only some light spots from mould or dirt that can be cleaned off it one is adept to cleaning 78's, which I am not. No other damage I can see.
Please note: I don't clean the discs. I sell them as I buy them due to different people having different preferences with cleaning methods and also, classical record collectors being so fussy and pedantic with this matter - which I really can't argue with.
I don't play-grade discs as any dust or dirt in the grooves will cause background noise and this will cause a false-reading of how it will sound after a clean on a VPI or similar.
