Pentangle, 'Cruel Sister'.
Original UK Transatlantic label stereo press LP.
The fourth Pentangle album recorded in 1970. It was the most folk-based of all the albums recorded by the band, with all the tracks being versions of traditional songs and Jack Orion taking the whole of side 2, with the earliest A-1U B-1U 1st issue matrices! The MacNeill Press matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light corner/edge wear on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the company inner is intact & in EX condition. The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two very faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings! The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud hiss, pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief low background noise during the run in grooves. Overall a really great, loud & punchy listen!! The matrix nos. are; TRA-228, A-1U stamper 1-RR, B-1U, stamper 1-RR. This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album!!
