Description
From my carefully curated and stored personal collection, a rare and well out of print set and owned by myself from new in 2015....
This particular set has been played through just once only. It has been fully Degritted ie both records have gone through two heavy cycles of ultrasonic cleaning in the best record cleaner on the market.
Both discs are wonderfully flat and centre'd with next to no tonearm movement.... a rarity for any record produced now! HOWEVER.... on playthrough there are some issues. Theres no skips, no jumps, no loud pops and overall the noise floor is low but intermittant non fills ARE audible on every side with sides 1 and 3 being most affected. They are somewhat fleeting but unmistakeable when in effect, consisting mostly of small rips and tics. Sadly, my tolerance for them is zero... i am born and raised on CDs and vinyl from a time when non fills were almost a non event! So yes, i can see these groove issues if looking carefully in the right light but to be fair they arent as bad as some i hear these days and many folk wont even be bothered by them. Otherwise they play nigh silently and truly sound fantastic.... better than the CD issue on my setup at least. Finally the album doesnt sound over thin and weedy like it did originally!
The jacket and poly inners are unmarked and basically as new with no bumps or creases etc. Even the original shrink is present albeit a little crinkled and slightly torn on the bottom.
Priced to sell on account of the groove issues outlined above. Selling to my losses of buying another copy at great expense from far overseas which is mercifully non fill free!
Thanks for looking!
