Description
- Near mint Peggy Lee 1957 monaural original jazz vocal LP “Black Coffee With Peggy Lee” (Decca DL 8358).
- This is considered by many jazz collectors as her most highly regarded album.
- She is accompanied by a small jazz group of Cootie Chesterfield (trumpet), Jimmy Rowles (piano), Max Wayne (bass) and Ed Shaughnessy (drums).
- The tracklist is: Black Coffee/I’ve Got You Under My Skin/Easy Living/My Heart Belongs To Daddy/It Ain’t Necessarily So/Gee Baby, Ain’t I Good To You/A Woman Alone With The Blues/I Didn’t Know What Time It Was/(Ah The Apple Trees) When The World Was Young/Love Me Or Leave Me/You’re My Thrill/There’s A Small Hotel.
- The glossy LP looks and plays near mint with crisp, clear fidelity. There are a few “tics” at the leading edge of side two but it is not overwhelming and the rest of the LP plays great. The cover is in remarkably near mint condition with no splits, tears, writing or cutouts. Included is the original Decca inner sleeve.
