Paul Simon SIGNED AUTOGRAPHED Still Crazy After All These Years LP vinyl 1975.
Here we have a vinyl record that I have picked up from stock bought from a dealer selling a lot of vinyl at an antiques fair.
THE IMPORTANT THING TO UNDERSTAND HERE IS THST I HAVE NO AUTHENTICATION OF THE SIGNATURE.
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OR CERTIFICATE INCLUDED.
It is going to be a question of whether or not you agree that this is authentic.
Please note that I am selling this record as a Paul Simon vinyl, with a signed script on the back cover and I am not an expert and telling the buyer that I have proof of origin.
PLEASE DO NOT BID AND BUY UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS CONDITION AS I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RETURN OF THE ITEM WITH A CLAIM OF SOMEBODY NOT BEING HAPPY WITH THE SIGNATURE.
This item is on auction for seven days and should be enough time for someone to look up similar signed pieces or seek advice from many online experts who offer an advice service.
I have decided not to waste any money on seeking such advice myself as I have been looking at this piece for over a month now and I am personally happy that it’s genuine, I felt there was no need to pay somebody else to tell Me what I’m sure I can see for myself.
I have included in the photos of this listing other listed examples of Paul Simon’s signature for you to compare with but of course I would expect you to do some further research yourself and try to obtain more examples.
I’m happy that this piece matches the examples I can see and so I am going forward with selling this item as ‘most likely’ originally signed.
I understand the pitfalls of this so again I ask you to only bid if you are happy too with what you can see.
The main point I think is of interest is the fact that I don’t believe that if anyone was going to forge this signature that they would then go through the trouble of writing such an expansive piece of text where the handwriting could easily be exposed as fake, it would seem ludicrous to do so, so this is another reason why I am happy with believing it’s originality.
Back to the record itself, it has slight signs of usual wear to corners of sleeve, there is a slight area of light scratching on the vinyl itself but I don’t have a record player so it is sold as untested.
