On offer in this listing is a true world rarity set of three (3) 10"x 78 rpm phonograph records of 'CHEE LAI: SONGS OF NEW CHINA', performed by PAUL ROBESON with Chinese Chorus Conducted by LIU LIANG-MO, on the small independent US label KEYNOTE: ALBUM K-109. Importantly, this 78 rpm album set has a near mint (NM) album with only minimal wear to the top and bottom edges. The inside is almost perfect and the very commonly damaged spine is totally intact and clean with NO cracking of the edges. The gold inlay, for the record title on the spine, which is usually quite worn off is about 95% present. Unfortunately the first disc (K-620) is cracked the length of the radius from the centre which does affect play, and the third disc (K-622) is cracked under the label on one side which extends only to the run-out grooves and does not affect play. The labels are clean, fresh as NEW condition. The record surfaces show moderate wear with some scratches, digs, or rubs. Overall these discs look to be in very good (VG) condition.
