Description

This exceedingly rare test pressing is the one that was used by the Columbia Records Publicity Department for demonstration purposes prior to the release of Wings' "Back To The Egg" album in 1979.
It was hand-carried from New York City to various locations around the country (Chicago, Washington D.C., Miami) in order to preview the the record for music writers from the prominent local daily and weekly papers (i.e. The Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Miami Herald, and others).  This was McCartney's first Columbia release, and as such the pre-promotion for the album was extensive and every effort was made to garner positive exposure - hence the "personalized" effort on his behalf.
The record was always meticulously handled and cared-for in order to provide the critics with the best possible listening experience.  It is in excellent condition.
The sleeve is generic white with some hand-lettering.  The inner sleeve is plastic-lined for additional protection.  The labels are clean.  There is hand-writing on one label in order to easily determine which was the "A" side of the album.
Please see photos for additional information.
