Description

Rare Paul McCartney and WINGS single with Stereo and Mono versions of "London Town" from the album of the same name.  This was not one of Wings' biggest hit records, further adding to its scarcity.  It was a Top 40 hit here in the U.S. (peaking at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #17 on the Adult Contemporary chart) while charting #43 in Canada and #60 in the U.K.  According to Wikipedia, Paul McCartney and Denny Laine began writing "London Town" in Perth, Australia, in late 1975 during the Wings Over the World tour.  They completed it in Scotland sometime between then and the album's release in March 1978.


The record features a lead vocal by Paul with backing vocals by Linda McCartney and Laine.  There are a couple of very light marks on the vinyl, but this one is a real beauty.  It looks unplayed, but we play tested both sides handling the item very carefully, and the record sounds great!  See our photos of the exact item for more details.
