Specific Pressing Identification:

The matrix numbers (3U/4U) suggest this is a very early UK pressing — not the very first (those are 1U/1U), but still early 1970 copies.

Importantly, the BBC Gramophone Library provenance significantly boosts its collectibility among specialized collectors.

Condition Overview (Based on Images):

• Vinyl: Appears VG+ to EX- (Very Good Plus to Excellent Minus), light marks but nothing deeply concerning seen in photos.

• Cover: VG (Very Good); BBC stickers and library card, plus some corner wear and general shelf wear.

• Labels: Visible BBC stamps, but otherwise clean.

Special Factors:

• BBC Gramophone Library provenance: Highly collectible among Beatles/McCartney fans. BBC copies were strictly library use only, often handled carefully but marked for tracking.

• Early pressing (3U/4U): Strong bonus.

• Not a 1U/1U true first stamper: so it’s a very early but not an absolute “day one” pressing.

Valuation Estimate (Based on April 2025 Data and Historical Sales):

• Standard early UK pressing (non-BBC, VG+ vinyl, VG cover) usually sells for:

• £30–£60 GBP ($35–$75 USD)

• BBC Library provenance copies, even with VG covers, tend to fetch a premium:

• £80–£130 GBP ($100–$165 USD) range, depending on the condition and buyer enthusiasm for BBC items.

Estimated Value for This Copy:

• GBP: £90–£120

• USD: $115–$155

(VG+ to EX- vinyl, VG cover, BBC provenance fully disclosed.)

Please understand that this is an official UK archival record from the British Broadcasting Corporation and the sleeve(s) may contain archival stickers from the BBC. Some of these stickers are 'on top' of the plastic with some 'underneath' (i.e. on the sleeve itself). Some sleeves have been 'laminated' either by way of 'punching' the plastic wallet to two parts of the sleeve or by fully wrapping the plastic to the sleeve. Where sleeves are laminated stickers can be removed with the use of appropriate sticker removal fluids however it is unlikely that stickers can be removed from any sleeves that are not laminated. The sleeves as such in this collection are generally graded as VG with the records often VG+ to Ex+.
