Description
Paul Jones UK Vertigo Swirl Spiral Crucifix in a Horseshoe
Background Info: Jones’s first album in five years following the demise of Manfred Mann. Not strictly Ëœprogressive”, but the label certainly was and what better category for this Lp? The former lead vocalist made a comeback on Vertigo and this was his only album on this highly desirable label. A very worthy Lp with some fine songs included, full backing by various musicians but sold very poorly at the time and is now somewhat elusive and hard to find. For those who strive to put together Spiral complete run, this is not one of the easier ones to find. The actual record is exceptional and has hardly been played. Worthy of the highest consideration for any true music lover or Spiral enthusiast.

CONDITION:
All but a couple of the Spiral album covers were ever laminated and this dark cover often fares worse than many. Rubbing, fading, grubbiness, ringwear and sticker tears are all common. This LP suffers from none of the above and is seldom seen in such wonderful condition.
Overall Cover Grade = EX. A very attractive gatefold format with no lamination. This copy has the spiral logo on the front and the boxed VO price code on the back with number above (6360059) Printed and made in England – Designed by Bloomsbury Group.
Cover Front: Highly attractive with just the odd light mark or crease and retaining a real fresh look and feel. No ink loss or major rubbing and no ringwear or sticker tears / marks. Rich un-faded colour with no indentations or major blemishes.
Cover Back: Similar again. The boxed code text is pristine and remains very attractive. EX
Cover Inner Gatefold: Near perfect with little to fault at all, the odd tiny surface crease if being critical.
Top Edges: Very light rub traces.
Bottom Edges: Light rubs in places.
Corners: Light rubs
Inner Sleeve: EX-the second, and rarer Spiral inner design. This is lined and its still firmly attached but ruffled. All sealed edges are unsplit or torn, it does have some modest and mild age toning to the outer edges (See Pic below)
Vinyl Condition: Near Mint struggling to find any blemishes on this one, its a beauty. A superb visual copy that is super clean, shiny, jet black and solidly pressed.
