Turn It Up presents a live Patti Smith performance from late 1975/early 1976 in which she appears with John Cale, who produced her just-released debut album, Horses. Cale gets a solo spot on "I Keep a Close Watch," awhile Smith intersperses songs from Horses (and "Ain't It Strange" from the upcoming Radio Ethiopia) with such concert covers as The Velvet Underground's "We're Gonna Have a Real Good Time Together" and "Pale Blue Eyes" and The Who's "My Generation," as well as spicing up the proceedings with her usual commentary on everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Giuseppe Verdi.

Sound quality is fair, performance is excellent.  Also released as Hard Nipples (ZAP 7882)

These records and CDs are from my presonal collection. I am not a dealer! Over the years I have sold most of my collection but saved the best for the last. Now is the time for me to go digital. My loss is the collectors's gain! These recordings were bought by me when they were issued for the most part. They were well taken care of. I charge actual shipping costs, my aim is to get fair value for my music, not make money on shipping! I ship from Canada. there is no media mail rate. The shipping calculator will give the price of a single item. Combined shipping will add the weights. In general a gatefold or double LP counts as 2 singles LPs. 2 LPs will ship for roughly 50% more than 1, but this depends on the service and destination. Often up to 4 LPs will ship for the same price as 2. I will quote shipping costs for multiple items, or if you need air mail, insurance etc.

Local pickup

US$5 per order. Combine items for a single pick up/drop off charge. Message me first. When bidding is complete ask for an invoice so I can send one without shipping charges.
