Description
This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the self-titled album the great Patsy Cline.
This is an original true US issued mono first pressing of the album.
It was released by Decca in 1957 with catalog # DL-8611 on the black labels with silver print.
This is not the 1960 repress with the rainbow Decca labels on the vinyl.
Also many versions of the 1960 cover specifically call out the song "Walking After Midnight" on it. This original version does not mention that song on the cover.
Record Condition:
Obvious visible signs of heavy surface wear is present in the way of various scratches and scuff marks.
And while there are many visible scratches, most are lighter or medium, and in my opinion, aren't super deep groove scratches
Surface noise is present.
Pretty cean center labels, but some spindle marks are present.
There's also some light dust/dirt and smudges, so a thorough, deep cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound and appearance a bit more.
Industry Grade: Conservatively I'd grade the disc as a G+.
Jacket Condition:
Signs of obvious shelf wear present on edges, spine, and corners.
Only very faint signs of ring wear are present.
Small seam split on the top corner edge.
There are also a few other minor blemishes present on the cover.
Despite the wear it has, the front cover still displays pretty well.
The jacket is still structurally sound.
Inner Sleeve: Original inner sleeve is not included.
Industry Grade: Solid VG.
