This is an auction for the rare LP Is a Friend? by Parlour Band. This is a UK Original on the DERAM label Cat no. SDL 10. This is a very hard to find LP especially in this condition.
Massive rarity, this is the real deal, a Deram original of this classic sought after Prog LP. Very rare to find in this condition, money back if not satisfied.
The cover is in excellent+ condition. This gatefold sleeve is in remarkable condition, having been safely stored for over 30 years. The predominate use of the colour white on this cover would normally result in a heavily stained, marked and ringworn cover, however not on this one. The inner gateffold contains the tracklisting and a stunning illustration which can be seen in all its glory with just the lightest marks along the top and bottom. The outside front is clean and bright almost without any ringwear, there is some light wear on the opening edge and on the corners, but I am being harsh here most would not even mention this. The laminate is all safely intact. The spine is in great condition, although does have a tiny nick (1cm) about 1cm from the bottom. The rear is the same as the front, it has the slightest at the top again I think that most would not even mention this.
The record is also in excellent condition. This is a truly stunning example of this rare LP. When removing from its original decca white and blue inner I noticed a slight static grip that you get from LPs that have rarely been removed from their bag. The vinyl retains a deep mirror like shine, it has some light marks that are only visible under a very strong light consistant with being taken in and out of its bag, I would confidently give this record a grade of EX+/NRMINT. The label is very clean with very few spindle marks, although it does look as thoigh this record has been played a few times, the sound is still crystal clear and surface noise is at a minimum, all frequencys are present without any distortion.
Overall this LP is in excellent+ condition, it has been very well looked after, do not let this one get away, please see the photos.
